Cirka strives to ensure that its digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. Cirka has invested significant resources to help ensure access for all users, including people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.
Digital accessibility is not just a target we aim to achieve, but an ongoing commitment that we carry in every aspect of our digital service delivery. We recognise that this requires continuous monitoring, improvement, and adaptation. In the sections below, we elaborate on the various efforts that have been undertaken to address our progress in ensuring digital accessibility for all.
The UserWay Accessibility Widget is available on every page of this website and can be found on the right-hand side of the screen. It allows users to manually adjust text size, contrast, and other display settings to suit their needs.
Known Limitations
The following issues have been identified but cannot currently be resolved:
- Hero image and video backgrounds — Automated tools flag heading text over hero images and videos as low contrast. This is a known limitation of automated testing with image and video backgrounds; the tool reads the page background colour rather than the image or overlay beneath the text. Overlays are in place to improve readability. A decorative background video on the homepage is also flagged for captions; it contains no spoken content and is for visual effect only.
- Contact form — reCAPTCHA — Google reCAPTCHA injects a hidden field that automated tools flag as missing a form label. This is a false positive; the field is hidden from users and screen readers. The reCAPTCHA is required to protect the form from spam and cannot be removed.
- Blog post card links — Each post card on the Insights page contains two links pointing to the same page: one on the card image and one on the Read More button. This is a structural limitation of the page builder component.
- Website credit link — The footer contains a credit link to the website developer. Automated tools may flag this as suspicious link text. This is a false positive.
